Abstract

Nowadays the most important group of dental materials is resin-based сomposites. But composite resin monomers are also applied in many nondental areas. An exposure originating from such nondental applications may cause sensitization. Standard researches of physical, chemical and mechanical properties of biomaterials, and also nonspecific in vitro tests of manufacture are insufficient for an estimation of potential risk material - caused adverse reactions. Necessity of biological researches using new in vitro models with better simulations of the in vivo situation is obvious. We investigated the influence of two dental materials with basically different structures of monomer on activity of enzymes and physical and chemical parameters of saliva.
