Abstract

In this article discourse-analysis is described as a specific method of contemporary sociological research, which has been formed on the basis of different theories from distinctive spheres of scientific knowledge: ethnography, social and cultural anthropology, linguistics etc. Some of the most important approaches to discourse-analysis are revealed in this work, interconnections and roles of various conceptions within the genesis of given method are elucidated.
The concept of community is held as a fundamental and crucial one for all the theories of discourse-analysis: it is belonging to community that conditions adoption of specific ways (languages) of speaking and thinking by its members, determining their participation in social practices.
