Abstract
Thу the social composition of the Gordon riots is analyzes, periodization of the riots is given various in the composition of theriot participants at various riot stages is invvestigated. Based on the concepts recognized in the Western European historical science the notion of crowd is analyzed, the crowd being understood as the leading social group including the riot participants.
