Abstract
The article interprets the concept of "social and political management" as an independent term in the general structure of social management, reviews the main objectives and universal tools of this type of management as well as the constituents of its efficiency. Special attention is paid to the regional aspect of social and political management in view of its applicability for improvement of Russian regions politics aimed at life quality enhancement.
