The literature review presents modern data on some types of colitis, occurring in the practice of therapists (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, ischemic colitis, pseudomembranous colitis, microscopic colitis), frequency and risk factors in different age groups according to the results of research in recent years, the main directions of outpatient treatment.

В обзоре литературы представлены современные данные о некоторых видах колитов, встречающихся в практике терапевтов (язвенный колит, болезнь Крона, ишемический колит, псевдомембранозный колит, микроскопический колит), их частоте и факторах риска в различных возрастных группах населения по результатам исследований последних лет, рассмотрены основные направления амбулаторного лечения.
