Statin therapy effectively reduces LDL-C, but is not always sufficient to optimize the overall lipid profile, exposing the patient to residual cardiovascular risk. The analysis of current literature on the efficacy and safety of statins and fibric acid derivatives combination for the correction of mixed dyslipidemia and prevention of cardiovascular risk.</p>
