„Industry 4.0“: some problematic issues
Abstract
The systemic problems of implementing the „Industry 4.0“ concept, as well as managing information and telecommunications networks that integrate production facilities, are discussed. It is suggested that the technical implementation of the „Industry 4.0“ concept is most effective when using neural networks.

Combined method for processing rolling stock parts
Abstract
A combined method for processing rolling stock parts is proposed, which consists of combining the process of restoring worn surfaces with subsequent hardening through boriding from coatings with high-frequency heating. Boriding provides the required hardness and wear resistance and eliminates structural defects of the deposited metal and substrate. At the same time, conditions for maintainability during repeated restoration and hardening are created.

Influence of setting size control errors of thread-cutting heads with round radial combs on cutting conditions
Abstract
Theoretical studies have been conducted on influence of recommended setting sizes of thread-cutting heads equipped with round radial combs, and the errors in their control, on the pattern of changes in the rake angle and bearing surfaces of the threaded pair, taking into account the kinematic features of cutting and the arrangement of forming elements on the cutting part of the tool. Values of the setting sizes of the thread-cutting head have been obtained that ensure the required rake angles on the elementary cutting profiles of the working part of the tool. The parameters of the thread being cut have been determined under which the possibility of using special means of excess size control, applied in industry, is limited. It has been shown that to ensure the cutting and calibrating part of the tool can perform its functions, selection or design of means for controlling the amount of excess must be carried out taking into account the analytically derived relationship between the structural and geometric parameters of the threaded pair a comb and a workpiece.
