Abstract

In his publication, Professor Anatoly Ivanovich Matern, Doctor of Chemical Sciences and former Rector of the Ural State Technical University, revealed details of the creation of the largest university in the Urals Federal District. In his summary of events, some of which we are publishing for the first time, he traces the chronology of events and the most important decisions and steps taken by the university's leadership and senior government officials to develop it into one of the largest higher education institutions in our country.
