Abstract
The main information about the formation and results of the scientific activities of the research department of medical and biological studies of the Research Center of the S.M. Kirov Military Medical Academy is presented. When established on August 31, 2006, the department combined the scientific potential of two research laboratories of the academy - molecular genetic research, general immunology, and immunogenetics. Since 2006, research in the field of immunological, molecular genetic, and microbiological diagnostics of infectious, autoimmune, and oncohematological diseases has begun at the Research Department of Advanced Medical and Biological Technologies. After the subsequent renamings in 2009 and 2012 and reorganizations in 2013 and 2014, the main research of the department has focused on the field of regenerative medicine with an emphasis on cellular technologies, tissue engineering, and the use of additive technologies (3D printing) in medicine. The article describes the results of the department's medical and biological research and the practical orientation of the scientific work carried out, as well as the participation of scientists in supervising military personnel of the research company, conducting research under the 'Priority-2030' program, and international cooperation with the Vietnamese Tropical Center.
