Abstract
In this article, we have described the method of study of otoacoustic emissions (OAE), which allows to objectively assess the state of the auditory analyzer in the experimental animals (rats, mice, Mongolian gerbils, Guinea pigs). OAE allows to get the results of the functional activity of the cochlea to perform, non-invasive, and adequate for group comparisons in the range 1-8 kHz. Each experimental group of rodents have its own characteristics curve of the OAE. Indicators of the amplitude of the OAE in the preclinical research are useful for: sample animals with intact hearing, experiments on the screening of pharmacological substances to identify the ototoxic potential, assessment of beneficial otoprotective (hearing preservational) properties.
