Abstract
Alzheimer’s disease is the most prevalent form of dementia. Importantly, neuropathological progression occurs in the eye as well as the brain. Based on the results of the literature data analysis, potential ophthalmological biomarkers for early diagnosis of Alzheimer''s disease are described, as well as conclusions were made about their appropriateness and applicability in clinical conditions.
