All interstrain hybrids were sterile when analyzed by a micromanipulator. However random spore analysis revealed recombination of control markers, suggesting assignment of the strains studied to the same biological species Sch. pombe. Possible causes of hybrid ascospores death are discussed. The population antagonism of the yeast Sch. pombe should be taken into account in taxonomic studies.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Продолжено изучение феномена гибели аскоспор у межштаммовых гибридов Schizosaccharomyces pombe c привлечением новых дрожжей Sch. kambucha nom. nud. и генетических линий, широко используемых в различных лабораториях. У всех межштаммовых гибридов, несмотря на низкую жизнеспособность гибридных аскоспор, изолированных микроманипулятором, при анализе случайной выборки аскоспор обнаружена рекомбинация контрольных маркеров, что указывает на принадлежность изучаемых дрожжей к одному биологическому виду Sch. pombe. Обсуждается возможная причина гибели гибридных аскоспор, связанная с трансмиссией прионной инфекции.
