Zvezdkina E.A., Lesnyak V.N., Akhpashev A.A., Dzhambinova E.A., Kanaev A.S.

Abstract

The use of bioresorbable materials in the anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction is a promising direction. Thus today there is no single point of view on the long-term results of using absorbable interference screws. The article presents an analysis of the results of surgical treatment of 30 patients with use of bioresorbable materials, operated on for rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the department of traumatology and orthopedics from 2010 to 2016 in the Federal Scientific Clinical Center FMBA of Russia. The aim of our study was to evaluate in vivo transformation of bioresorbable screws and bone assimilation into the tibial canal in long-term period after surgery, as well as the effect of the polymeric material and bone on these processes.

Abstract

Definition of epigenetic disorders is important for early diagnosis of colorectal cancer. To obtain a model of diagnostic test system with high sensitivity and specificity, we determined the frequency of methylation in SEPT9 and VIM genes. Epigenetic events also were compared with mutations in the RAS family genes. It was confirmed the presence of aberrant methylation in SEPT9 and VIM genes in tumor cells. DNA of tumor samples was significantly more methylated than samples with DNA from adjacent tissue (P = 8,67E-19 for SEPT9 gene and P=8,68E-19 for VIM gene). In the group of patients carried mutations in KRAS or NRAS genes tumor DNA significantly more methylated in gene SEPT9 (P = 0.0018), in contrast to the tumor DNA from patients not carried mutations. We have demonstrated that the combined use of methylation markers can improve the sensitivity of the test systems used in the diagnostics of colon cancer.

OXYGEN UPTAKE OF BLOOD IN PATIENTS WITH ISCHEMIC HEART DISEASE AFTER MYOCARDIAL REVASCULARIZATION

Bondarenko E.T., Iljyn M.V., Zotov A.S., Staroverov I.N.

Abstract

Oxidative stress, which is observed in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD), is accompanied by the changes of plasma redox regulation. We aimed to investigate the dynamics of blood oxygen uptake rates in patients with CAD following coronary artery bypass graft surgery. We examined 80 CAD patients at admission to the hospital, discharge and 6 months after surgery. Patients were divided into three groups: Group 1 - 8 patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS), Group 2 - 61 patients with old myocardial infarction (old MI), Group 3 - 11 patients with chronic CAD (CCAD). 24 healthy donors were included in the control group. We modelled the processes of lipid peroxidation (LPO) in plasma using biological oxygen monitor. The increase of indicators of blood oxygen uptake was registered in ACS and old MI patients at the day of admission, old MI patients at the day of discharge from the hospital, and CCАD patients at the day of 6 months after surgery. The increase of these indicators occurred after the depletion of blood antioxidant systems and caused by activation of lipoprotein peroxidation on the minute 30 and the decline of lipid radicals formation on the minute 40. As the plasma antioxidant status was greater, the оxidative damage of lipids started on the minute 40 of the study.

Abstract

In the 21st century is an acute problem to find effective and inexpensive methods for the early detection of lung cancer. Patients suspected of having a malignant disease of the lungs, generally undergo clinical studies such as CT scans of the chest and bronchoscopy. The latter is mainly used to confirm the diagnosis. However, even when the signs, symptoms and radiological findings indicate that clinical diagnosis of malignant lung disease is evident, additional invasive procedures for obtaining the biological material suitable for the final confirmation of the presence of malignant cells. Currently, there is a clear understanding of the need to find biomarkers able to detect pre-clinical stage of cancer cells using minimally invasive procedures. In this paper, for the DNA of patients with different types of lung cancer samples, with a view to a better understanding of the causes of lung cancer pathology gene methylation analysis was conducted for SHOX2, TGFBR1 and MIR-375.

CONSERVATIVE COMBINATION TREATMENT OF CERVICAL ECTOPIC PREGNANCY FOR 7 WEEKS OF PREGNANCY WITH THE USE OF SELECTIVE ANGIOGRAPHIC UTERINE ARTERY EMBOLIZATION, FOLLOWEDBY HYSTEROSCOPIC RESECTION OF THE OVUM

Askolskaya S.I., Alikberova S.I., Popov Y.V., Lebedev D.P., Nechaeva O.E.

Abstract

Cervical pregnancy is a currently important medical and social problem, characterized by relatively high mortality and often leads to a loss of fertility in women of reproductive age. This clinical case demonstrates a possible approach of conservative therapy in conditions of excessive bleeding in women interested in the reservation of reproductive function, using high-tech minimally invasive methods of treatment in combination with chemotherapy.

INVESTIGATION OF STRUCTURE OF THE MEMBRANE RAFTS BY MEANS OF COMPUTER MODELING

Bozdaganyan M.E., Shaitan K.V.

Abstract

Understanding the structure of the biological membrane and its role in the cell has evolved significantly since the introduction of the classical fluid mosaic model by Singer and Nicholson. Later fluid mosaic model has been redesigned, expanded and has become considerably complicated. It has been experimentally proved that the membrane consists of so-called rafts, which are functional “islands” with the specific lipid composition with proteins. Lipid rafts play a central role in many cellular processes, including barrier functions, membrane polarization and the cell signaling. Several groups of pathogens, bacteria, prions, viruses, parasites use lipid rafts for their purposes. Rafts always occur on both sides of the membrane opposite to each other, but the nature of the two-layer rafts are still poorly understood. Previously it was theoretically calculated that the shift of the monolayers in raft occurs, which reduces the mechanical energy of the boundaries, and ultimately leads to a bilayer structure of the raft. In this study with the help of computer modeling we study the energy of interaction between two monolayers of the raft in order to test the hypothesis about their relative shift.

Nikitin A.G.

Abstract

In 2012, in Federal research and clinical centre of FMBA of Russia the laboratory of genetics was established, which conducts scientific research in the field of genetic predisposition to socially significant diseases, early diagnosis of oncopathology, as well as methods for processing genomic data. Significant experience in molecular genetic testing have allowed to help to implement a routine practice of a multiprofile hospital modern methods of genetic analysis that were previously available only to large specialized centers.
