- -., Ptitsyn K.G., Muldashev A.A., Baymiev A.K.

Abstract

The genetic diversity and phylogeny of rhizobia isolated from nodules of 9 wild-growing Lathyrus L. species (Fabaceae) growing in Republic Bashkortostan were studied. It is shown that for the given plants is characteristic that the big variety of heterogeneous strains of root nodule bacteria. Nevertheless, it is revealed that the majority of them in phylogenetics are closely related to Rhizobium leguminosarum. However, some plant species are found out also nodule bacteria which were considered earlier unusual for Lathyrus. So, L. vernus L. Bernh. and L. sylvestris L. are found out a root nodule bacteria close to R. tropici, L. palustris L. — Agrobacterium sp., and L. gmelinii Fritsch all isolated with us bacteria from root nodules by the sequence of genes of 16S рРНК have appeared are closely related to Phyllobacterium myrsinacearum.

Molecular analysis of genetic polymorphism and phylogenetic relationships in Ribes L.

Pikunova A.V., Martirosyan E.V., Knyazev S.D., Ryzhova N.N.

Abstract

The RAPD analysis have been used to study genome polymorphism and phylogenetic relationships in genus Ribes L. Levels of interspecific, intraspecific and intercultivars genome diversity have been evaluated. Revealed polymorphism allows the recognition of closely related cultivars. Genotype-specific RAPD fragments and also group-specific fragments have been identified. Hybrids between blackcurrant and gooseberry have shown more similarity with blackcurrant. Calculated similarity coefficients and dendrogram topology support the genus classifications that recognize equal independent taxonomic level of blackcurrant, redcurrant and gooseberry with genus Ribes L.

Characterization of variability of the gene Nad1 intron in representatives of genus Vicia L. (Fabaceae Lindl.)

Ryzhova N.N., Dyachenko E.A., Vishnyakova M.A., Kochieva E.Z.

Abstract

For the first time the sequences of b/c intron of mitochondrial gene Nad1 have been determined in representatives of 13 Vicia species. It is shown that the sequences of the intron of the gene in these species is highly conservative. In total 23 variable sites and 11 indels have been determined with the intron length 1421–1447 b. p. On the basis of the results of pre-m-RNA intron folding the main elements of its secondary structure have been determined as well as the sites of interdomain interactions. The peculiarities of primary and secondary structure of intron Nad1 in Vicia have been characterized.

Genetical structure of populations of modelling species of terrestrial mollusks in conditions of the urbanized landscape on example Сhondrula tridens Müll (Gastropoda, Pulmonata)

Snegin E.A.

Abstract

On the basis of the analysis of the morphological and genetical variability revealed by a method of gel-electrophoresis of proteins in PAAG, the state of gene pools of populations of modeling species Сhondrula tridens Müll (threedens snail) in conditions of the urbanized forest-steppe landscape of the south of Mid-Russia Upland is investigated. In the majority of the investigated bunches authentic decrease of a level of heterozygosity and the decrease of an allelic diversification caused, both is fixed by natural historical factors, and factors of an anthropogenic parentage. The genetic-automatic processes in populations are considered and vectors of natural selection are defined. Calculation of effective number of researched bunches is spent.

The influence of D. melanogaster mutations of the kynurenine pathway of tryptophan metabolism on locomotor behavior and expression of genes belonging to glutamatergic and cholinergic systems

Zakharov G.A., Zhuravlev A.V., Payalina T.L., Kamyshev N.G., Savvateeva-Popova E.V.

Abstract

Disbalance of kynurenines produced by Drosophila mutations of the kynurenine pathway of tryptophan metabolism influences the locomotor behavior in larvae. The most pronounced is the effect of accumulation of kynurenic acid in the mutant cinnabar manifested as sharp reduction of general level of locomotor activity. The mutations seem to act through modulatory influences of kynurenines on signal cascades governed by ionotropic glutamatergic and cholinergic receptors. Expression of receptor genes in the mutants shows age-related changes pointing to gradual evolvement of consequences of kynurenines disbalance.

Multi-component symbiosis of Legumes with beneficial soil microbes: genetic and evolutionary basis of application in sustainable crop production

Shtark O.Y., Borisov A.U., Zhukov V.A., Nemankin T.A., Tikhonovich I.A.

Abstract

Leguminous plants have a genetic system that provides interaction with different beneficial soil microorganisms (BSM). The system has been formed on the basis of the genetic mechanisms that had arisen during the co-evolution of plants with arbuscular-mycorrhizal (AM) fungi and appeared to provide pre-adaptations for further evolution of interaction with various BSM. A concept of the use of BSM in sustainable agriculture is proposed, which postulates an establishment of the multi-component beneficial plant-microbe communities based on varieties of legumes with high potential for interaction with the BSM.

APOE gene ε4/ε4 “thrifty” genotype and risk of metabolic disorders in the Uralic peoples

Kozlov A.I., Borinskaya S.A., Sanina E.D.

Abstract

The prevalence of APOE gene ε4/ε4 genotype in the populations with various level of “westernization” is under the consideration. It is proposed that the populations with a high frequency of *ε4 undergoing “modernization transition” are in the most vulnerable state. These are the Eastern Finns and especially indigenous people of the North, who have a higher level of diseases of circulatory system than megacity residents.

ASSOCIATION OF DNA REPAIR GENE POLYMORPHISM WITH CHROMOSOMAL ABERRATIONS IN THE HUMAN LYMPHOCYTES

Minina V.I., Druzhinin V.G., Lunina A.A., Larionov A.V., Volkov A.N., Golovina T.A., Glushkov A.N.

Abstract

Analysis of association between several DNA repair gene polymorphisms and the level of chromosomal aberrations (CAs) in lymphocytes was performed in two groups of teenagers: a group of 256 donors exposed to indoor radon and a control group of 94 donors. In the group of children with living conditions exposing them to high doses of radon (> 200 Bq/m3 ), the level of CAs shows a significant increase in the carrier of genotypes: hOGG1 Cys/Cys, hOGG1 Ser/Cys, ADPRT Ala/Ala and ADPRT Val/Ala. Furthermore there were no significant associations between level of CA and Arg194Trp, Arg280His, Arg399Gln polymorphisms of the XRCC1 and Asp148Glu polymorphism of the APE1 found.

GENETIC AND MORPHOTYPIC HETEROGENEITY OF SWIMMING POOL BACTERIAL POPULATIONS

Magdanova L.A., Golyasnaya N.V.

Abstract

The populations of resident bacterial species of the swimming pool community such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bacillus sp., Acinetobacter lwoffii and Pseudomonas alcaligenes were analyzed. All these species showed stable in time heterogeneity by spontaneous mutation frequency and biofilm forming ability. There was notably high occurrence of mutators in all investigated populations. Our results show high level of genetic plasticity and adaptivity under conditions of starvation and exposure to biocides.
