Article Publication Charge in Eco-Vector journals
APC
Brief
Eco-Vector Publishing House journals publish original articles on a paid basis (APC-based). APCs are used to cover the costs of editorial and publishing preparation, maintaining the journals websites, and effectively distributing published articles.
APC is only available after the editor-in-chief has decided to publish the article in the journal and sent the authors a notification with the official final decision of the editorial board. Thus, APC does not influence decisions to accept or reject articles.
Most journals offer discount and privilege programs for authors, which can be found in detail on the journals' websites (in the section "Author Fees").
Cost and process
Payer: the APC is charged to the authors, but the payer (or party to the contract) may be an employer, a foundation, a sponsor, an advertiser, or an independent individual.
The cost depends on the payer:
- 700.00 (USD) when paid by an individual;
- 1100.00 (USD) when paid by a legal entity.
When to pay:
- only after the article has been officially accepted for publication (submitting the article for evaluation and peer-review process are free for authors).
How to pay:
- online via a direct link from the personal account of the representative of the group of authors who submitted the article to the editorial office for review (the link will appear after the article is accepted for publication);
- by concluding a contract with the publisher (see below for details)
APC payment procedure
After the article is accepted for publication, the authors will receive two letters in sequence:
- official confirmation of acceptance the article for publication (editorial decision);
- notification of the need to pay for publication with detailed instructions and a description of payment methods.
There are two ways to pay for the publication of an article:
- Online via the direct link “Pay for article publication” from the personal account of the representative of the author team (in the ‘Author’ section, “Active” articles). The publisher will be notified of the payment immediately.
- By signing an individual contract. The standard contract text can be adjusted at the request of the authors. The contract for payment for publication can be signed:
- with an individual;
- with a legal entity.

Discounts for APC
If authors do not have the financial means to pay for publication in the journal, they should contact the publisher to request a waiver or discount. We do not want the APC become a barrier to the publication of good articles in our journals.
To receive a discount, after the article has been accepted for publication (after official notification from the editorial office by email), a representative of the authors ahould send a written collective request to the publisher for a discount on the publication fee, justifying their request.
The decision on a discount and its amount is made jointly by the editor-in-chief and the publisher's management based on the application from the authors. If the decision to grant a discount is positive, the authors will be informed of the final cost and given further instructions for payment.
Discounts are available for all paid publishing services (open access publication, Fast-Track protocol, full-text translation of articles) as part of the reviewer support program.
