Abstract
The author, discussing the possibility of long-term lowering of blood sugar by adrenal denervation, concludes on the basis of his research that there is a grain of truth in the method of adrenal denervation in theory. In practice, however, the method is unlikely to be considered suitable for the treatment of diabetes.

Lucke H. (Ztschr. f. kl. Med. Bdf 125, H. 3-4, S. 361-369, 1933), обсуждая вопрос о возможности длительного понижения сахара крови путем денервирования надпочечников, на основании своих исследований приходит к выводу, что в методе денервирования надпочечников теоретически имеется зерно истины. Однако, практически этот метод навряд ли может считаться пригодным для лечения диабета. Он не дает длительного эффекта, так как уже через 3—4 недели после операции можно на основании исследования действия контра-инсулярного гормона передней доли гипофиза на сахарную кривую доказать, что нервные пути надпочечников снова восстановились.
