Abstract
Experiments staged by V.N.Matveev and E.K. Kresling convinced them that not all races of typhoid bacilli are equally sensitive to high temperature: out of 14 cultures out of 4, when milk was heated to 75 ° C, 10 remained viable were killed.

Опыты, поставленные В. Н. Матвеевым и Е. К. Креслингом (Гиг. и Эпид., 1926, № 12), убедили их, что не все расы брюшнотифозных палочек одинаково чувствительны к высокой t°: из 14 культур их 4, при нагревании молока до 75° С, остались жизнеспособными, 10 же были убиты. Таким образом не только американская пастеризация, но и немецкая биоризация,—кратковременное нагревание молока до 75° С,—не гарантируют полного обезвреживания молока, и защита населения от разнесения брюшного тифа с молоком должна быть направлена не на распространение пастеризации последнего, а на охрану его от загрязнения палочкой Eberth’a.
