Abstract
The problem of acquiring manual skills by young surgeons has been relevant at all times. Since the time of Galen, obtaining knowledge about the human body and methods of surgical treatment of various diseases has been a difficult task.
The aim. Development and implementation of artificial models and simulators of the temporal bone (TB) in the training programs of novice otolaryngologists.
Results. An artificial model of a normal temporal bone has been developed, which allows for a detailed study of difficult-to-understand anatomy, as well as the practice of sanitary operations and accesses, mastoidoplasty, epitimpanoplasty, and facial nerve decompression. The simulator allows for unlimited repetition of the stages of the operation, gradually honing the skill to the required level, starting from the simplest to the most complex.
