Океанология — мультидисциплинарный журнал в области морских наук. Является ведущим журналом в широком спектре теоретических и экспериментальных направлений наук об Океане.

Журнал «Океанология» публикует оригинальные результаты исследований по физической океанологии, морской гидрохимии, биоокеанологии и морской экологии, морской геологии и геофизике, роли Океана в формировании климата Земли, информацию о новых методах и технических средствах исследования океана, а также информацию о научных экспедициях. Издание является рецензируемым и включено в Перечень ВАК для опубликования работ соискателей ученых степеней. Журнал представлен во многих базах данных, в том числе в Web of Science, Scopus и РИНЦ.
