Neutron stars, in particular those with strong magnetic fields, are main targets for Mikhail Pavlinsky ART-XC telescope. Their X-ray emission can be characterized by strong pulsations, rapid changes of the flux, and some peculiarities in energy spectra. These observations are crucial for studies of radiation and matter behaviour in strong gravitational and magnetic fields. Precise measurements of X-ray pulses’ parameters give us a chance to build a system for spacecraft autonomous navigation, which would use X-ray pulsars as the sources of signals.
