Abstract

The paper describes the etiology and pathogenesis of periodontal diseases, caries, and dental hypersensitivity. It shows the role of oral hygiene in preventing dental diseases. Pomorin toothpaste that contains brine taken from the Pomorie Lake (Pomorie lye), is presented. Clinical trials have proven that Pomorin toothpaste is highly effective in treating gum disease and reduces the reproduction and activity of bacteria that contribute to the development of caries. Pomorin Maximum Protection toothpaste is designed to take deeper and better care of sensitive teeth. It actively affects the enamel, diminishing dental sensitivity, and is able to restore the enamel (to induce tooth remineralization). Pomorin Anti-Periodontal toothpaste is used for periodontosis and periodontitis; it prevents odontolith formation. The data presented may lead to the conclusion that the Pomorin series toothpastes are a quite effective and useful component of combination therapy for periodontopathies, caries, and dental hyperesthesia. Their regular use, as indicated, helps achieve high results in the elimination or stabilization of the pathological process in a short time.
