Abstract
The polycystic ovary syndrome (POS) is a polymorphic disease with an extremely variable clinical picture, which makes its diagnosis difficult. No management algorithms for patients with POS complicate their treatment. The paper gives the authors’ data on the long-term results of using metformin as both monotherapy and combination therapy.
