By analyzing the results of surgical treatment in patients with diffuse and multinodular toxic goiter, the authors consider the risk factors for laryngeal paralysis, which include the annual number of operations associated with the exposure of recurrent laryngeal nerves and the presence of hypocalcemia in late postoperative periods.
