Abstract

Patients with xantogranulomatous cholecystitis often undergo extensive surgical resections because of difficulty in distinguishing this condition from gallbladder cancer, both preoperatively and peroperatively. To ensure the performance of optimum surgery, transoperative study is recommended to preclude malignancy.
