INTIMA-MEDIA THICKNESS AND THE DEGREE OF CORONARY ATHEROSCLEROSIS

Abstract

A relationship between the data of carotid artery duplex scanning and the degree of coronary atherosclerosis (CA) was studied using the angiographic Gensini scale. The sensitivity of the technique in identifying moderate or severe CA was 87.1%.
