CLINICAL EFFICACY OR ALGINATES IN THE TREATMENT OF GASTROESOPHAGEAL REFLUX DISEASE
Abstract
Numerous epidemiological surveys of the prevalence of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) have been conducted in different world regions in the past decades. The advent of Gaviscon Double Action, a drug containing an antacid and an alginate (having antacid and antireflux effects), has afforded physicians an opportunity to effectively and safely eliminate the symptoms of GERD in the patient.

CLINICAL AND TOMOGRAPHIC ASSESSMENT OF THE RESULTS OF SURGICAL SANITATION OF THE MIDDLE EAR IN PATIENTS WITH EPITYMPANITIS
Abstract
The paper analyzes the results of surgical treatment in 40 epitympanitis patients who have undergone tympano- and mastoidoplasty using an autobone chip. Multislice spiral computed tomography of temporal bones is a noninvasive, highly informative, specific, and sensitive method for the postoperative examination and monitoring of patients after tympno- and mastoidoplasty for epitympanitis.

FAMILIAL AGGREGATION OF MALIGNANT LYMPHOMAS
Abstract
Familial aggregation of malignant lymphomas is encountered rather commonly -only in 0.7-3.0% of cases. The incidence of non-Hodgkin lymphoma and Hodgkin lymphoma in one family (in parent-child and brother-sister pairs) is highest. In this case, the disease is generally characterized by the aggressive course and more frequent occurrence of the lymphomas in younger infants than in their parents. The paper describes cases of aggregation of familial lymphomas in the patients who have been treated at the N.N. Petrov Research Institute of Oncology, Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

PERSONALITY STRUCTURE AND MENTAL HEALTH LEVEL AFTER SURGICAL TREATMENT IN MEN DIAGNOSED WITH PROSTATE CANCER
Abstract
A total of 107 patients diagnosed as having prostate cancer were examined for their attitude to the disease and its influencing factors (personality structure, mental health level) after surgical treatment. The Ich-Struktur-Test nach Ammon (ISTA) was applied. It was shown that professional psychological care was apparent in view of the data obtained in the investigation.

INTRA-CAVITY RONKOLEUKIN IMMUNOTHERAPY IN TREATMENT RESISTANT PATIENTS WITH MALIGNANT EFFUSIONS
Abstract
The study evaluated feasibility, safety and effectiveness in combination with recombinant interleukin-2 (IL2) used for antitumor immunotherapy. The clinical study involved cancer patients with metastatic effusions resistant to systemic chemotherapy. The results showed that intra-cavity IL2-immunotherapy was highly effective and well tolerated in treatment of patients with malignant effusions.

PRESERVATION OF PHYSIOLOGICAL AND BIOMECHANICAL FUNCTIONS DURING SURGICAL TREATMENT FOR TONGUE CANCER
Abstract
The functions of oral and pharyngeal food transport and articulation restore 9-14 months after extensive intraoral resections. V-shaped glossectomy with single-stage glossoplasty should be considered functionally most effective in the treatment of tongue cancer.

INTEGRATION OF THE EXTENT OF TUMOR LESION INTO A PROGNOSTIC MODEL OF HODGKIN LYMPHOMA
Abstract
The fact that correlation and regression analysis can consider the volume of a tumor in children with Hodgkin lymphoma results in a change of its contribution to the long-term prognosis of other parameters, by creating prerequisites for improving prognostic models and stratifying patients into risk groups in terms of only this factor.

A PROCEDURE FOR INCREASNG BLOOD OXYGEN TENSION IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC HEART FAILURE
Abstract
2,3-diphosphoglycerate regulating oxyhemoglobin dissociation in the lung plays a large role in the body’s functional system to ensure the optimal level of blood oxygen. Ethylmethylhydroxypyridine malate affects blood oxygen levels, reducing the degree of hypoxia.
