PERINATAL RISK FACTORS FOR DISORDERS IN THE EMOTIONAL- VOLITIONAL SPHERE AND BEHAVIOR OF A CHILD
Abstract
The paper considers an association between poor perinatal factors and risk for disorders in the emotional-volitional sphere and behavior. It discusses whether these disorders are affected by a pregnant woman’s hormonal changes or bad habits, a number of medications, intrauterine infections, or alimentary deficit. There are data on an association of risk for the above disorders with a baby’s cesarean birth, prematurity, and/or low birth weight, birth hypoxia or trauma, and maternal postpartum depression. The possible mechanisms underlying the found associations are discussed. Preventive approaches are outlined.

COADMINISTRATION OF HETEROGENEOUS BIOPOLYMER HYDROGEL AND HYALURONIC ACID IN OSTEOARTHRITIS: THE FIRST EXPERIENCE
Abstract
Comparative analysis of different treatment regimens for primary knee osteoarthritis demonstrated the efficacy of the combined intraarticular administration of heterogeneous biopolymer hydrogel and a hyaluronic acid preparation, which was best in terms of all indicators. The duration of the follow-up was 12 months.

HEPATOPROTECTORS IN THE TREATMENT OF INTRAHEPATIC CHOLESTASIS OF PREGNANCY
Abstract
Hepatoprotective drugs are in considerable use in obstetric practice in the Russian Federation. Questioning of physicians in the survey “Epidemiology of drug use in pregnant women" has shown that ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), the only hepatoprotector that has an evidence basis for the safety of a fetus and efficacy in treating cholestatic diseases, is used relatively rarely (in 27.0% of cases) and, on the contrary, essential phospholipids and artichoke (Cynara scolymus) extract are in common use (56.6% and 62.3%, respectively). The timely use of UDCA in a daily dose of 15 mg/kg in pregnant women with intrahepatic cholestasis makes it possible to alleviate clinical symptoms and to reduce the frequency of obstetric and perinatal complications.

A DIFFERENTIATED APPROACH TO PRESCRIBING DIPEPTIDYL PEPTIDASE-4 INHIBITORS
Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is one of the most common diseases. Medications from different groups are used to treat this disease. Dipeptidyl peptdase-4 inhibitors are relatively novel representatives of sugar-lowering drugs. The efficacy and safety of the drugs in patients with hepatic and renal dysfunction and their effect on cardiovascular risk are analyzed.

EFFICACY OF ERESPAL IN PATIENTS WITH ACUTE BRONCHITIS
Abstract
The administration of Erespal to treat acute bronchitis in adults is shown to be accompanied by shorter alleviation of all symptoms of the disease, by a more dynamic regression of expectoration; by a reduction in the preservation of fever and intoxication syndromes, by good therapy tolerability and high patient compliance. The use of Erespal in the therapy of acute bronchitis in adults contributes to a reduction in the need for additional use of antibacterial drugs.

POSSIBILITIES OF CORRECTING METABOLIC DISORDERS IN CHILDREN WITH CHRONIC HEART FAILURE
Abstract
In children with heart diseases accompanied by chronic heart disease (CHD) the activity of major energy metabolic enzymes (succinate dehydrogenase and glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase) was found to be decreased, and the significance of these changes corresponded to the severity of clinical manifestations of CHD. The original drug Eltacin consisting of 3 nonessential amino acids: L-glutamic acid, glycine, and L-cystine (70 mg of each substance) was used. Clinical and cytochemical techniques were employed to evaluate therapeutic effectiveness from mitochondrial dehydrogenase activity in peripheral blood lymphocytes. The drug was found to positively affect the activity of mitochondrial enzymes. It was shown that for children with CHD the long-term Eltacin intake is necessary to have a lasting clinical effect.
