Abstract

The author discusses the causes and mechanism of development of 2 major types of antibiotic-associated diarrhea: a simple form and Clostridium difficile infection. She also considers the specific features of the clinical picture, diagnosis, and treatment of these forms and the role of probiotics in the treatment and prevention of antibiotic-associated diarrhea
