Abstract
The paper outlines the current understanding of the pathogenesis of vitiligo, presents in detail the data available in the literature on the impaired (weaker) skin antioxidant protection mechanisms in this pathology, and provides a rationale for the incorporation of antioxidant drugs into treatment regimens for this skin lesion. The authors give their data on the efficiency of this approach.
