COMPLIANCE IN THE THERAPY OF BABIES WITH TRANSIENT LACTOSE INTOLERANCE

Abstract
Whether dietary guidelines are followed has been studied by observing 22 breastfed babies aged 1 to 6 months with transient lactose intolerance (TLI). Data on the patterns of their feeding and care and the quality of treatment compliance are analyzed. TLI is shown to be a disease that requires that dietary guidelines and replacement therapy should be sequentially and long complied with. 63.6% of cases could achieve complete compliance, which has allowed the quality of life to be improved in not only a baby, but also in his/her entire family. The negative results of treatment are associated with both subjective and iatrogenic factors.
