MATERNAL SMOKING DURING PREGNANCY AS A RISK FACTOR FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A FETUS AND A CHILD
Abstract
Adverse effects on the embryo and fetus in the critical periods of development can have lasting, sometimes irreversible consequences for a child. This statement is built in the so-called concept of fetal programming. Elimination of these exposures is a prerequisite to optimize the development of the fetus and child and to reduce the risk of morbidity and mortality. The paper considers the most important negative effects on the course of pregnancy, the development of the fetus and child, which are associated with maternal smoking during pregnancy.

SKIN TOXICITY OF CHEMOTHERAPY AND CUTANEOUS MANIFESTATIONS OF CHRONIC GRAFT VERSUS HOST REACTION. THE PRINCIPLES OF NON-DRUG CORRECTION OF SKIN LESIONS
Abstract
The paper considers the specific features of changes in chronic graft versus host reaction and the toxic effects of chemotherapeutic agents used to treat hematological cancer and hematological patients prior to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation during conditioning and before. Methods for correcting the detected changes are proposed.

CERVICAL SCREENING FOR GENITOURINARY SYNDROME OF MENOPAUSE
Abstract
The cervical cytological and colposcopic characteristics depending on the phase of the climacteric (peri- and postmenopausal) period, which have been established in the comprehensive examination of patients with genitourinary syndrome of menopause, justify the use of local estrogen therapy.

COMBINED THERAPY FOR PANIC DISORDERS IN CARDIOLOGY PRACTICE
Abstract
The paper gives the results of successful combined therapy for panic disorders with the non-benzodiazepine anxiolytic Buspirone (Spitomin) and short-term individual cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy. This therapy may be recommended to treat panic and anxiety disorders in general medical practice.

INFERTILITY. EFFICIENCY OF SURGICAL TREATMENT
Abstract
Surgical treatment was most effective in polycystic ovary syndrome. Assisted reproductive technology is indicated in cases of grade III-IV adhesive process. The pregnancy rate in patients with external endometriosis does not depend on the degree of dissemination of the pathological process.

FORMATION OF THE CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE CONCEPT AND ITS USE IN PEDIATRIC PRACTICE
Abstract
The concept of chronic kidney disease is being widely introduced into practical medicine all over the world. This term reveals the essence of the problem based on the data of modern science. But physicians of different specialties do not always agree with the relevance of this term and the need for its use.

EFFICENCY OF ULTRAHIGH-FREQUENCY THERAPY IN CHILDREN WITH ATOPIC ASTHMA
Abstract
Inclusion of asthmatic children in the treatment with ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) therapy resulted in better disease control in a shorter time than that in the treatment with only basic therapy. After UHF-therapy, there was a reduction in the relative and absolute levels of eosinophils and in the count of eosinophils bearing FcεRI+ and CD23+IgE+ receptors. The group of patients who received only basic treatment was found to have no statistically significant changes in the investigated immunological parameters.

MANAGEMENT OF INFANTS WITH CYTOMEGALOVIRUS-INDUCED HE-PATITIS IN OUTPATIENT SETTINGS
Abstract
The specific features of cytomegalovirus-induced hepatitis have been revealed in infants, by evaluating the efficiency of therapy in outpatient settings. A family obstetric history, cytomegalovirus infection during pregnancy, and prior Ureaplasma and Chlamydia infections may favor the development of hepatitis in infants, which require long-term management, treatment with hepatoprotectors and а-interferons, and a follow-up in a group of frequently ill infants.

SPEECH RETARDATION: A NEUROPHYSIOLOGICAL APPROACH
Abstract
Based on the high frequency of dysfunction of brainstem structures and epileptiform activity in the absence of clinical manifestations in children with speech retardation, the author proposes a treatment algorithm that takes into account the functional state of the nervous system.

FEATURES OF THE COURSE AND OUTCOMES OF MULTIPLE ORGAN DYSFUNCTION SYNDROME IN NEWBORN INFANTS IN RELATION TO GESTATIONAL AGE AND BIRTH WEIGHT
Abstract
The features of the course and outcomes of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome were investigated in newborn infants in relation to gestational age and birth weight. The frequency of a severe central nervous system lesion and the severity of bronchopulmonary dysplasia and retinopathy were found to increase with decreases in gestational age and birth weight.

THE EFFICACY AND SAFETY OF DRAINING SORBENTS AND BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE DRESSINGS IN THE TREATMENT OF TROPHIC VENOUS ULCERS IN PHASE I OF WOUND HEALING
Abstract
Draining sorbents and biologically active draining sorbents based on them ensure the creation of a moist environment and rapid wound cleansing from fibrin and pus and have bactericidal properties due to the active irreversible sorption of wound exudate and microorganisms, thereby accelerating the repair processes.

ANALYSIS OF OVARIAN RESERVE INDICATORS
Abstract
The analysis of variance test (ANOVA) analyzing the groups having discrete data was used to compare ovarian reserve parameters and to study their value in predicting the outcome of infertility treatment in 150 women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and thyroid disorder. The data analysis demonstrates a significant correlation between the volume of the ovary and the size of its ovarian reserve and no relationship between the level of basal follicle-stimulating hormone and the occurrence of pregnancy. The ovarian reserve is higher in PCOS concurrent with thyroid disease than in PCOS only. At the same time, the ovarian reserve in associated pathology is higher in patients with PCOS and hypothyroidism. A link was found between age, ovarian volume, number of antral follicles, and a positive outcome of treatment - the onset of pregnancy.

TRENDS IN THE INCIDENCE OF ROTAVIRUS INFECTION AND ASSESSMENT OF ITS VACCINATION BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE MOSCOW REGION
Abstract
The safety and efficiency of immunization against rotavirus infection were evaluated based on a long-term analysis of the incidence of enteric infections, by using one of the areas of the Moscow region as an example. The paper provides data on the dominance of rotavirus enteritis in the etiological structure of acute enteric infections. The genotypes of rotaviruses matching to pentavalent RotaTeq® vaccine strains were found to circulate. Immunization in 46.5% of babies in the first year of life during the first year of vaccination and in 69.4% during the second year contributed to reductions in the incidence of rotavirus infection in all age groups and in the number of hospitalized patients aged 0-6 years.
