Cardiovascular diseases confidently hold leading positions in the structure of mortality. The risk factors and clinical and functional features of osteopenic syndrome were analyzed in patients with coronary heart disease and hypertension. Timely diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of osteopenia are needed due to the high risk of fractures because of a marked decrease in bone mineral density in patients with cardiovascular disease.
