Abstract
The author describes a case of a disease in a 57-year-old man, from a family burdened with neuropsychiatric diseases, who suffered from 28 years of age. back with syphilis. The disease developed acutely and was characterized by: motor weakness of all limbs and partly of the muscles of the body, coordination disorders when standing and walking, slight rigidity of the arms and legs, increased knee reflexes, presence of Babinski'ago. hemianaestesia dextra, pain and thermal; the functions of the recti and vesicae were preserved, there were no muscle atrophies, the state of the cranial nerves and mentality was normal.

Авторомъ описанъ случай заболѣванія у мужчины 57 л., изъ отягощенной нервно-душевными болѣзнями семьи, страдавшаго 28 л. назадъ сифилисомъ. Заболѣваніе развилось остро и характеризовалось: двигательною слабостью всѣхъ конечностей и отчасти мышцъ туловища, разстройствомъ координаціи при стояніи и ходьбѣ, легкою ригидностью рукъ и ногъ, повышеніемъ колѣнныхъ рефлексовъ, наличностью Babinski’аго. hemianaestesia dextra, болевой и термической; функціи recti et vesicae сохранены, мышечныхъ атрофій не было, состояніе черепно-мозговыхъ нервовъ и психики нормально. Послѣ подробнаго разбора диф. діагн. (sclerosis diss., острый поліоміэлитъ, полиневритъ) авторъ останавливается на единственно подходящимъ для даннаго случая діагнозѣ: комбинированнаго бокового и задняго склероза люетическаго происхожденія. Специфическое леченіе дало утѣшительные результаты.
