CONTENT-ANALYSIS OF THE PATENTED THRAPEUTIC METHODS OF SUBSTANCE DEPENDENCE DISORDERS IN RUSSIA

Abstract

The article presents the results of qualitative analysis of patented methods for treating addictive disorders (the methods being invented in the late USSR and modern Russia). Research base for the analysis was the archive of Rospatent (Russian Federal Patent Agency). Frequency and proportions were given for different characteristical methods. There was considered separately an evidence of the proposed actions as well as their risk for patients. It was established that the most part of inventions was registered after 1985, when the term «coding against alcoholism and drug addiction» appeared. As examples some excerpts from the patents were presented.

Abstract

103 patients with brachialgia have been surveyed for studying vertebral, neural and myofascial disorders on the basis of the anamnesis, clinical inspection, and manual tastings with application of beam methods research. It is shown that the painful syndrome of shoulder area with dysfunction of a humeral joint has a multi-component character that should be taken into account at the differentiated therapy with an estimation of pathogenetic mechanisms.

CLINICAL AND МRI PECULIARITIES OF DYNAMICS IN PEDIATRIC SYRINGOMYELIA

Abstract

A clinical and MRI study of 39 patients with syringomyelia, which began at an early age, was performed. The results showed that in 74, 4% of cases pediatric syringomyelia begins with development of scoliosis. There were identified three main variants of start and course of syringomyelia in childhood, combined with scoliosis: 1 - lack of neurological symptoms for a long time and a progressive-relapsing course in adulthood, 2 - rapid development of pain, and then other neurological symptoms with a progressive-relapsing course, 3-development of symptoms of foramen magnum and the subsequent formation of remitting course of other neurological symptoms. Neuroimaging studies have shown a decrease of cystic index, as well as significant reduction in the degree of malformation in patients with Chiari syringomyelia of an early age during examination after 15 year- period from the onset.

Abstract

Some data on the treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders in patients with diabetes mellitus are presented. The efficiency of sertraline in the correction of anxiety-depressive disorder is shown. It was found that patients with type 2 diabetes have a better response to the treatment.

ASSESSING OF THE IMPACT OF NEUROCOGNITIVE TRAINING AND DRUG THERAPY ON THE COGNITIVE PROFILE IN PATIENTS WITH SCHIZOPHRENIA

Abstract

Cognitive disorders determine a decline of social adaptation and are in fact the leading clinical parameters which predict disability. One of the promising directions of treatment of cognitive deficit is including a neurocognitive training in rehabilitation programs. To analyze the effectiveness of neurocognitive training and drug therapy we recruited 2 groups of patients. The first group had neurocognitive trainings, the second was control group. Rehabilitation of cognitive functions are greatly influenced by (in descending order) drug therapy, neurocognitive trainings and their combination, evidencing the effectiveness of neurocognitive training influence on correction of neurocognitive deficit. The obtained data prove that neurocognitive trainings can be part of complex treatment of patients with schizophrenia and are another method shown to be effective in the arsenal for the treatment of schizophrenia.

Abstract

Somatic investigation among mental patients and persons, not suffering from psychiatric disorders has been analyzed. Patients suffering from cardiovascular disorders (old myocardial infarction, hypertonic disease) and neurogenic diseases seek help more frequently. Mental patients have no somatic complaints. It is revealed that mental patients visit a physician and undergo prescribed medical tests less frequently. Physicians also avoid examination of mental patients at home.

Abstract

In the article the problem of comorbidity of mental disorders and different addictions is analyzed. There was made the conclusion about necessity of studying computer game dependence comorbidity with such mental disorders as schizophrenia, epilepsy, personality disorders, alcoholism, and drug addiction. The new approach to studying the aspects of propensity to dependence on computer games (not studied by anybody before) has been used, namely: the peculiarities of volitional and anticipation activities, related with computer game addiction among the mentally ill and those with deviant behavior. The analysis of these features has been carried out comparative, specificity of computer game dependence in the conditions of schizophrenia, epilepsy, personality disorders, alcoholism and drug addiction is revealed. There was performed a comparative analysis of these peculiar features Conclusions are drawn on features of influence of computer games on the given patients.

The improvement of life quality characteristics is observed in patients who were prescribed Sertraline. This dynamics is more significant in patients with type 2 diabetes.

The article deals with psychological research of anticipative abilities in speech behavior of people with distress condition and patients with neurotic disorders. Strong and long stressor's influence on human organism is accompanied by inadequate sense and verbal prognosis in speech behavior, but the infringement degree depends on distress intensity. It's found out that anticipative incompetence in speech assists forming increased linguistic alarm and avoiding psycho traumatic speech situations.

Abstract

In the review the unprecedented trend of world tendencies in growth of overweight and obesity of inhabitants of the majority of the countries is shown. The short analysis of the basic researches of psychological problems in obesity is presented. Various data of researches with detailed elaboration of the received results concerning the connection between depressive disorders and obesity are cited. Various methodological approaches and views on this problem are shown. In spite of the prevalence of researches confirming association of obesity with depressive disorders, some works don't share this similar linear position. Large researches are devoted to the ratio of suicides and their ways of committing, together with antisuicidal factors in obesity. Any practicing doctor should know this.
