CLINICAL IMMUNOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SKIN PAPILLOMAS ASSOCIATED WITH SUPERINVASIVE OPISTHORCHIASIS
Kravets N.V.
Abstract
Patients with skin papillomas concomitant with superinvasive opisthorchiasis developed significant disorders mainly of humoral immunity in comparison with controls (patients with skin papillomas without invasion). Immune dysfunction parameters correlated with some clinical characteristics and anamnesis of the patients. This fact indicated the formation of a pathological tandem including total systems parasitic immunopathology and multiple proliferative foci in the epidermis (papillomas).

EFFERENT QUANTUM METHODS IN MULTIPLE MODALITY TREATMENT OF PSORIASIS
Baityakov V.V., Filimonkova N.N.
Abstract
The efficiency of plasmapheresis and its modification with UV irradiation of re-infused erythrocyte suspension was evaluated in 104 patients aged 18-60 years with the progressive stage of disseminated psoriasis vulgaris. The clinical picture, cellular immunity and phagocytic process parameters, serum cytokine levels were studied over time. Serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha, interleukin-2, circulating immune complexes were elevated in psoriasis patients who developed T-cellular immunity imbalance and high activity of neutrophilic defense. Relationships between the studied values and patients gender, hereditary disease history, and clinical characteristics were detected. Addition of efferent quantum methods to combined therapy for psoriasis promoted more manifest positive shifts in the skin process and led to selective correction of some immune values. Higher clinical immunological efficiency of plasmapheresis with autotransfusion of photomodified erythrocyte suspension was noted.

A CASE WITH SEVERE GENERALIZED RECESSIVE DEGENERATIVE CONGENITAL BULLOUS EPIDERMOLYSIS
Makhneva N.V., Andreyeva T.E., Naumova E.D., Lyaporova T.V., Davidenko E.B., Beletskaya L.V.
Abstract
Severe generalized recessive degenerative congenital bullous epidermolysis (Hallopeau-Siemens epidermolysis) is the most destructive multiorgan genodermatosis. The disease is caused by mutation of COL7A1 gene coding for collagen VII. It manifests from birth by generalized vesicles and erosions on the skin and mucosa with involvement of other organs and tissues. The authors review relevant published data and describe a case with this form of bullous epidermolysis with involvement of the hemopoietic and locomotor systems. The diagnosis has been confirmed by modern methods. Deficient synthesis of the protein complex of lamina densa main substance and collagen VII has been detected. Fixed immune complexes (antibody targets) in the basal membrane zone were detected, this suggesting the use of glucocorticosteroids in therapy of this disease form.

CONNECTIVE TISSUE DYSPLASIA: SIGNIFICANCE OF DERMAL COLLAGEN PROTEINS (REVIEW OF LITERATURE)
Lyakhovetsky B.I., Glazkova L.K., Peretolchina T.F.
Abstract
Hereditary collagenopathies are the most incident of all connective tissue dysplasias - almost 70 nosological entities of 250. By the present time 29 collagen types have been identified, 12 of them involved in skin formation. Hence, collagen proteins constitute almost half of the total skin bulk and of all studied collagens and play an important role in pathological changes and hereditary diseases caused by mutations of various kinds. The incidence of skin involvement in hereditary collagenopathies remains one of the highest, and the dermatologist should be specially qualified to face the problem.

Abstract

REMOTE RESULTS OF SHORTAND LONG-ACTING PENICILLIN THERAPY OF PATIENTS WITH EARLY LATENT SYPHILIS
Mishanov V.R., Komarova V.D., Pyshkina E.I.
Abstract
It is assumed that wide use of long acting penicillin forms during the latest epidemic rise was associated with a trend to an increase in the number of patients with delayed development of negative serological reactions and serological resistance. In order to compare the remote results of therapy by short- and long-acting penicillin in patients with early latent syphilis we studied seroconversion parameters in the patients observed at Nizhny Novgorod Center for Skin and Sexually-Transmitted Diseases in the 1990ies and 2000ies. The results were obviously better in patients with early latent syphilis treated by benzylpenicillin sodium than in those receiving benzylpenicillin benzatine.

CHANGES IN THE ACTIVITIES OF ANTIOXIDANT ENZYMES UNDER THE EFFECT OF MATRIX METALLOPROTEINASE 9 INHIBITOR IN SKIN MELANOMA BIOMODEL
Belonogov R.N., Aksenenko M.B., Ruksha T.G.
Abstract
Studies on skin melanoma biomodel showed that matrix metalloproteinase-9 inhibitor caused a much greater increase of superoxide dismutase activity than of catalase activity. This led to excessive formation of hydrogen peroxide, suppressing proliferation when in high concentrations. These events were paralleled by reduction of the number of tumor cells expressing the proliferating cell nuclear antigen.

EFFECTS OF LASER-INDUCED THERMOTHERAPY ON M-1 SARCOMA GROWTH KINETICS AND MORPHOLOGY
Romanko Y.S., Molochkov V.A., Sukhova T.E., Popuchiev V.V., Molochkov A.V., Tretyakova E.I., Korenev S.V., Belyi Y.A., Akopova K.V.
Abstract
The parameters of M-1 sarcoma growth and morphology after laser-induced thermotherapy (LITT) were studied. The antitumor effect of LITT was mainly due to destruction of the microcirculatory bed and development of necrosis. These results can serve as the theoretical base for development of LITT protocol for clinical practice.
