Author Guidelines

1. Current Guidance were developed on the basis of Recommendations of the Higher Attestation Commission of Russian Ministry of Education (VAK), International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, (ICMJE), Enhancing the Quality and Transparency of Health Research (EQUATOR) Network, and Recommendations of the Association of Science Editors and Publishers (ANRI).
2. Before submitting an article, please read the following information:

3. Article Submission Form
All authors of the article must sign the Article Submission Form
By submitting the article all authors agree with following statements.
4. Authorship
The authors of the article may be persons who have made a significant contribution to the work of its revision or correction, the final approval for publication, as well as responsible for the integrity of all parts of the manuscript. Person performing a role in the preparation of this article (statisticians, language, technical staff and others.), May be contained in the section of the article “Acknowledgments” in Russian, English or both languages.
It is necessary to specify the share of authors (Contribution) in the writing of the article.
Marital authorship is unacceptable. The number of authors of the article must be reasonable: in the original papers without limitation, in reviews 3 – 4 persons. Authors should provide links to profile on http://orcid.org if they have.

5. Conflict of interest
Authors undertake to report any actual or potential conflicts of interest. Conflict of interest can be considered as any situation, able to influence on the author of the manuscript and lead to concealment, misrepresentation or change interpretation of data. The presence of a conflict of interest with one or more of the authors is not a reason for refusal in the publication of the article. If editors reveal the concealing of potential and apparent conflicts of interest on the part of the authors the examination and publication of the manuscript can be refused.
The form of the identifying of potential conflicts of interest contained in the “Article Submission Form”. Information on conflicts of interest must be given in an article in the “Conflict of interest”. If there is no conflict of interest authors must declare it.

6. Plagiarism and secondary publications. The unfair textual borrowing and appropriation of research results that do not belong to the authors of the manuscript is forbidden.
The article can be checked on originality using services https://www.antiplagiat.ru/ (for texts in Russian) and http://www.plagiarism.org/ (for texts in English). The editors keep the right to verify incoming manuscripts for plagiarism. Text similarity of over 20% is considered unacceptable. Printed in other journals articles are not accepted.
7. Copyright
– Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of the first publication. The article simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work’s authorship and initial publication in this journal.
– Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal’s published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
– Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).
– By submitting the article and accompanying files (hereinafter – the “Work”) the author (all the authors of the work, if it is created in co-authorship) agrees that he provides OOO Eco-Vector exclusive and perpetual right to use the work free of charge (exclusive, perpetual and royalty-free license) on the territory of Russia and foreign countries in the following ranges and volume:
– the publication of works on paper and / or electronic format, producing reprints of works, placing it on the Internet, both in the open and paid access, sending works metadata or full text indexing to various databases and repositories;
– reproduction of the work, i.e. the production of one or more copies of a work or part thereof in any material form, including in the form of audio or video recording. Recording on electronic media, including recording in computer memory, is also considered as a reproduction;
– distribution of works through sale or other alienation of its original or copies;
– public display of the work, that is, any demonstration of the original or copy of a work, either directly or on the screen using film, slide, television pictures or other technical means, as well as a demonstration of individual frames of an audiovisual work without concern for their order, either directly or with the help of technical means in a place open for free visits, or in a place where a significant number of individuals do not belong to the normal family, regardless of the perceived in the place of its display or elsewhere at the same time demonstrating product;
– import-export of the work or its parts for any lawful purpose (paid and gratis);
– translation or other processing of the works;
– bringing the work to the public so that anyone can access the work from any place and at any time of their choice;
– accommodation of works or parts thereof in a variety of collections of similar works;
– granting of rights in full or in part to third (physical and legal) persons at both the paid and free of charge.
Author’s items are not provided. The title is available by subscription.
8. Funding of research and publications/Acknowledgments. If the study and / or the preparation of the article were financially supported, the source of funding should be indicated. If there was no financial support, it should be pointed out that it was not available. This information should be submitted in Russian and English after the text of the article in the “Acknowledgments” section.
If the authors used the services of editorial / brokerage agencies, they should be thanked for their ethical participation in this section. See paragraph 9 of the Sarajevo Declaration https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5209927/pdf/CroatMedJ_57_0527.pdf.
9. The editors have the right to reduce and edit submitted articles. The date of receipt of the article is the time of receipt of the final (processed) version of the article in case of revision after review.
10. Manuscripts and accompanying documents can be submitted to the editorial board by Open Journal System on the site.

– The conclusion of the official translation agency on compliance English and Russian texts for authors who want to publish the full text of the article in Russian and English languages.

12. Manuscripts preparing
12.1. The manuscript should be checked for spelling and grammar. The article should be printed in Times New Roman or Arial, font size 12, with 1.5 spacing between lines, all fields, except the left 2 cm wide, the left 3 cm. All pages should be numbered. Automatic hyphenation should not be used.
The entire text of the article should be written in one file (title page, summary, keywords, article text, tables, list of references, information about the authors). The file must be named on the surname of the first author (Surname_Text). The drawings and scanned documents are stored in separate files also containing the name of the first author (Surname_Figure).
The paper should not exceed 18 pages (including illustrations, tables, resume and references), news reports – 3 pages.
12.2. Language
Manuscripts from any country in Russian and / or English are accepted. If the article is written in Russian, the translation of metadata in the English language is compulsory (names of authors, the official names of authors institutions, addresses, article title, article abstract, keywords, contact information for the responsible author and References).
If the authors do not provide metadata in English or a translation of poor quality, the editors resorted to the services of a translator. Poor quality translations of the full texts are not edited and are not published. The Editorial board are not responsible for the quality of the translation, but control an accuracy of the information provided by the authors in the original language.
Articles of foreign authors in the English language may be published upon decision of the editor-in-chief of the journal without translation into Russian (with the exception of the title, abstract and keywords) or with the full or partial translation (titles and captions to figures, tables).
12.3 Front page
Front page contains:
1) Names of authors
2) Article title
3) The official names of authors institutions
4) Postal addresses
5) Contact information of the responsible author: Name, degree, title, position, institution with address, e-mail address of the author responsible for correspondence;
6) Author profiles on the http://orcid.org.
If there are several authors, the names of each and respective institution are indexed. If an author has several jobs, each denoted by a separate index.

12.4. Original articles
The structure of original articles must follow the format IMRAD (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion). The plan of construction of the original articles must be as follows: abstract and key words, introduction, material and methods, results, discussion, conclusions, information on financial support, grants, thanks, indication of a conflict of interest, a list of references, figure captions in the presence of graphics.
It is strongly recommended to follow Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials (CONSORT),
Statistical data analysis is presented in material and methods.
The presentation and discussion of the results in one section is not permitted.
Results should be clear and concise. Data should be provided in absolute numbers and in percentages, 95% confidence interval (95 CI%) and the value of p should be indicated. Error bars are required at all points of the experimental and calculated data. The text must contain the explaining the manner in which these errors have been established.
The discussion scould contain a convincing explanation of the results and show their importance.
It is strongly recommended to follow the provisions of the WMA Declaration of Helsinki – Ethical Principles for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects
12.5. Design of reviews
Design of reviews is carried out similarly to the original articles. It is advisable to review drafting according to international recommendations on systematic literature search methods and standards. Abstract of review articles should contain information on search for literature on databases (Scopus, Web of Science, MedLine, The Cochrane Library, EMBASE, Global Health, CyberLeninka, and other). The keywords of review articles should include the word “review”.
The title of a systematic review should include the word “systematic review”. Detailed information regarding the preparation of reviews can be found at PRISMA website (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses)
12.6 Clinical cases reports
Clinical cases, designed according to the CARE guidelines take precedence. The acronym CARE was created from CA— the first two letters in case and RE—the first two letters in reports. CARE’s recommendations can be found by the link.
12.7 Standards
All terms and definitions must be scientifically valid. Drugs should be given only in international nonproprietary names.
Familial disease naming should be corresponded to the international classification of inherited conditions in humans (Mendelian Inheritance in Man).
The manuscript may be accompanied by a glossary of terms (vague, likely to cause the difficulty by reading). In addition to the common abbreviations of units, physical, chemical and mathematical values and terms (e.g., DNA) abbreviations phrases often repeated in the text are allowed. All letter symbols and abbreviations should be explained in the text at their first occurrence. Reduction of simple words is not allowed, even if they occur frequently. The doses of drugs and units of physical quantities should be given in SI units.
12.8 Abstracts
The Abstract should state only the essential facts of the work and should not contain common words. For original articles it is required to structure the abstract following the structure of the article, including an introduction, aims and objectives, methods, results, conclusion. Subject, topic, purpose of the work are specified in the event if they are not clear from the article title. The methodology of the work is described in case, if it is new and can be interesting for readers. The abstract should begin with the information contained on the front page. The amount of text in abstract must be strictly between 200 and 250 words. The abstract should be accompanied with key words or phrases that reflect the main topic of the article and facilitates the classification in electronic databases. Keywords must be separated by a semicolon and ended with a dot.
Abstract and key words should be presented in Russian and English languages. Key words in English should be taken from the organized dictionary Medline (MeSH, EMtree…).
12.9 Requirements for illustrations
General issues. Each image is supplied in a separate file. Files with images must have logical names (Surname_Image1).
Captions to images should be grouped together and given separately.
It is important to use a single system of letter designations and zooming of images.
Images in the text should sequentially numbered.
Maximum image size: width 180 mm, height 230 mm.
The image fonts: Arial, Courier, Times New Roman, Symbol or similar fonts. Inscriptions in the drawings should be, if possible, replaced on letters, and explained in the text or in the figure captions. Links to pictures (and tables) are given in the text of the article, and its location (by the first mention) is indicated in the left margin.
Formats. Black and white line art: file format – TIFF (.tiff extension *), any program that supports this format (Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, etc…); mode – bitmap; Resolution 600 dpl (Adobe Fotoshop); possible to use LZW compression or other.
Black and white drawings tone (grayscal), color tone drawings (RGB, CMYK)
format-tiff file (extension .tiff) Resolution 300 dpi (Adobe Fotoshop)
Vector Graphics: extension ai, created in Adobe Illustrator CS6.
If electronic graphic image created in a Microsoft Office application (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), then it should be given in the same format.
Do not send:
– Files that are formatted to display on the screen (for example, GIF, BMP, PICT, WPG); they tend to have a low resolution and a limited set of colors;
– Files with a very low resolution;
– Three-dimensional images;
– Figures published previously in other works. The editors reserve the right to verify the figures for plagiarism through Google Images.
12.10 Figure and photos captions
Figure and photos captions are grouped together and given on a separate page after the list of references (all). Each figure should have a common header and decryption of all acronyms. In the captions to chart it must be indicated designation of the axes of abscissas and ordinates and units and provided an explanation of each curve. The captions for photomicrographs must indicate the color method and magnification.
12.11 Design of tables
The table number is designated above right its name is given below. Abbreviations in the tables are not allowed. All figures in the tables must meet figures in the text. Tables can be given in the text.
12.12 Mathematical formulas
Mathematical equations should be presented as an editable text, not in the form of images. The variables should be marked in italics. Equations should be numbered in order.
12.13 References lists
Vancouver reference style is applied (references are numbered as mentioned in the text not alphabetically).
In original articles, it is desirable to cite no more than 40 sources, literature reviews – 60, in other materials – 15. Bibliographic references in the text are indicated by numbers in square brackets.
Ensure that all references cited in the text are present in the reference list (and vice versa).
References should contain works for the last 5 years in addition to the fundamental works. References should be verifiable.
Every scientific fact should be accompanied by a separate reference to the source. If one sentence mentions several scientific facts, a reference is placed after each of them (not in the end of the sentence). If there are multiple references they are given in chronological order [5-9].
Titles must be given in an abbreviated form in accordance with the List of Title Word Abbreviations
Links to online sources should be reliable and durable. At a minimum, you should give the full URL-address and the date on which a reference has been made available. Additional known information should be given: DOI, author names, dates, links to publications, and so on.
Do not rely on unpublished, refracted (withdrawn from the press) article. Self-citations is undesirable, except when it is necessary (in a reviews not more than 3 – 5 matches).
Do not rely on the thesis and dissertation abstracts. It is better to refer to the article published on the materials of dissertation research.
Documents (Orders, guests, Health Regulations, Guidelines, Sanitary Rules, Federal laws) should not be specified in the reference lists. The bibliographic description of the book (after its name): city (place of issue); after the colon the name of the publishing house; after the semicolon the year of publication. If the reference is given to the chapter of the book (the authors); title of the chapter; after a point is placed “In the book .:” or “In:” and the name (s) of the author (s) or editor (s), then the name of the book and the output data.
Bibliographic description of the journal: author (s); article title; journal title; year; is in parentheses issue, after the colon numbers first and last pages. If there is a group of authors up to 6 people all authors should be mentioned, for large groups of authors 6 first authors and “et al.” In case of referring on the editors, after the initials, after the decimal point should be put “ed.”.

14. Additional materials
The editors accept from authors any video and audio material to help readers more fully discover and understand a scientific study. It can be a brief presentation in webinar-style, video of the experiment or medical manipulations. Additional materials may be placed in the electronic version of the title.
15. Appeal
Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of articles
16. Removing of published articles
Removal of already published article is an extreme measure and is applied in the case of opening facts that were not known during the review:
– Detection of violations of law and defamation
– Detection of false or inaccurate data, especially those whose use may pose a risk to health
– The amount of textual borrowing more than 20%.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with each of the following items, and submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned to the authors.

  • Absence of plagiarism.  The authors guarantee that this article has not been published in whole or in part, and is not under consideration or in the process of publication in another publication.

  • Correct manuscript format. Manuscript file format is Microsoft Word (has the extension *.doc, *.docx, *.rtf). The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

  • Anonymity. All information allowing to identify authors is removed from the text of the manuscript and from the metadata of the file.

  • Resume (abstract) is designed in accordance with the requirements and do not exceed the limit.

  • Illustrations. Tables and figures were placed within the text of the manuscript and have their titles.

  • Bibliography. The list of references is formatted in accordance with the requirements. All the cited sources were checked for DOI.

  • Supplementary files. The authors have prepared for transfer to the editor

    • file containing full information about the authors (Surname, first name, place of work, e-mail address);
    • Graphic files (photos, satellite images, graphics, etc.).
    • The authors are ready to upload these files to the journal website in Step 4 during the manuscript submission process.
  • The authors confirm that:

    • all participants who have made a significant contribution to the study are presented as co-Authors;
    • those who did not participate in the study are not listed as co-Authors;
    • all co-Authors have seen and approved the final version of the work and agreed to submit it for publication.

Fast-Track:
Price: 1100.00 (USD)

OPTIONAL PAYMENT

The Fast-Track is a review process and editorial workflow to authors seeking a very fast editorial decision and rapid publication at a higher submission fee to compensate the extreme fast referees and editorial work.

For the Fast-Track users:

  • the guaranteed response time (report and decision letter) is 21 days, starting the count from the first business day on which valid payment information has been received from the submitting author;
  • the guaranteed issue for publication (in case of manuscript acceptance) is a nearest upcoming issue of the journal.

If you choose “Fast-Track” for your manuscript the submission fee is US$1100.

Please note, that the “Fast-Track” option does not guarantee a positive review and acceptance of a manuscript itself. It's only brings an extreme fast time scedule for manuscript processing thrue all editorial procedires. Thus, if the manuscript receives negative reviews, and if the editorial board will take the side of reviewers, the manuscript will be rejected. If the reviewers recomend revisions of the manuscript, the final decision on publication will be only after revised manuscript submission and the second round of review.

The Fast-Track option does not exclude the necessary for correct manuscript formatting. Please ensure that the manuscript corresponds to the formatting guidelines for this journal (you can find them on Author Guidelines page).

To activate the Fast-Track option, the submitting author should make payment from his/her personal account on the journal's website after submitting an article. After making the payment and sending the notification to the editor, the authors will receive confirmation by email and within the next 21 days — the results of the article reviewing and the editorial decision.

Optional Open Access:
Price: 950.00 (USD)

OPTIONAL PAYMENT (this will NOT abrogate the Peer-Review decesion-based article selection).

Through Optional Open Access, authors of accepted papers are given the option of paying an open access publication charge to make their paper freely available online immediately via the journal website, meaning that readers will not need a journal subscription to view open access content. If an author does not choose to pay the open access publication charge, their paper will be published in the normal manner, and will not be made freely available online immediately.

Therefore there will be a mixture of non-open access and open access papers within each journal issue. Open access articles will be clearly indicated on the journal's online contents page. In order to view the non-open access content, a current subscription to the journal will be required. Online, print and combined subscription options will continue to be available to institutions.
