Abstract
The composition, indications for use and history of development of Guttae Votchala are described. The use of Guttae Votchala led to a substantial increase in treatment compliance in those patients who receive nitroglycerin. They were developed by outstanding native therapist B.Votchal (1895-1971) rightly considered as the founder of the national clinical pharmacology.
