Abstract

The article is dedicated to different aspects of pain and rigidity in inflammatory and degenerative joints and spine diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, dorsopathy, and osteoporosis. The data for the mechanisms of analgesic, neuroprotective and muscle relaxation activity of Katadolon (flupiritine maleate) are presented, its ability to inhibit the formation of pain hypersensitivity and the "acceleration" phenomenon as well as tolerability and safety of the drug are discussed. International recommendations for the use of Katadolon are presented.
