Abstract

Ibuprofen, a derivative of propionic acid, belongs to a group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Despite the fact that number of NSAIDs has significantly increased in recent years, and now this group has a large number of drugs with different chemical structure, characteristics of action and application, ibuprofen remains the drug of choice for treatment pain and fever, especially in pediatric practice.
