Abstract

Allergy to cow's milk protein (ACMP) is the most common cause of symptoms of food allergy in infants. The development of the clinical picture in this condition may vary, and symptoms are usually not pathognomonic. For non-invasive diet diagnosis and treatment of ACMP, hypoallergenic formulas are recommended. The formula is considered as medical hypoallergenic formula in case of not causing the allergic reactions in 90 % of children with food allergies. Only formulas based on fully hydrolyzed protein and amino acid-based formulas meet this criterion.
