Аннотация

This review discusses the safety of psychotropic drugs (antidepressants, antipsychotics, anxiolytics, etc.) for their use during breastfeeding period. It is shown that the use of many psychotropic medications is compatible with breastfeeding. Women should be informed about potential risks and benefits of their use during lactation, as well as trained to recognize early signs of toxicity in children. In the case of any adverse symptoms in child that may be associated with drugs received by mother, breast-feeding should be stopped immediately.
