Abstract

Urticaria - a common disease characterized by the appearance of itchy wheals on the skin. Chronic urticarial (CU) is called a state where every day or at least twice a week, for a period of 6 weeks, the blisters appear, each of which has a maximum of 24 hours. The prevalence of chronic urticaria is 0.1 to 0.5 % in the population. The average duration of the disease is 3-5 years. In 50 % of those who have had the disease, may again be worsening even after prolonged remission. In December 2012, a meeting on the initiative of the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology, to develop recommendations. The aim of these recommendations is to improve the diagnosis and management of patients with urticaria and to promote research and a better understanding of disease.
