The article discuses the problem of the treatment of bacterial infectious and inflammatory processes in paranasal sinuses, such as acute bacterial rhinosinusitis (ABR). One of the major ways of treatment ABR includes adequate rational causal treatment, which is aimed at the eradication of the pathogen and the restoration of sterility of sinusis. High efficacy and good safety profile of cefditoren allows to recommend the drug for widespread use in the treatment of acute bacterial infections of the upper respiratory tract, including ABR.
