Abstract

Back pain occasionally occurs in most people, and the most common mechanism of its occurrence is an inflammation of muscles and joints and ligaments of the spine. In modern literature, this condition is termed «non-specific back pain» due to the fact that the pathogenesis of this disease is the same regardless of the cause of back pain. However, following the ancient principle of «treat not a disease, but the patient», the individualized approaches to diagnosis and treatment of this non-specific condition can be completely different, forming the basis of modern personalized medicine.
