Abstract

The article presents an overview of the main modern methods of treatment demodecosis. The results of a comparative study on the effectiveness of treatment of facial demodectosis with the use of 7% metronidazole topically for 20 days and oral 250 mg metronidazole twice a day for 20 days, topically 1% metronidazole once a day for 20 days are described. The main antiparasitic drugs and alternative treatment regimens are presented; their advantages and disadvantages are discussed.
