Balance between the efficiency and safety of anticonvulsants as a basis of rehabilitation for children with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy

Abstract

Juvenile myoclonic epilepsy is the most common form of idiopathic generalized epilepsy. The rehabilitation of patients with this pathology is based on balanced antiepileptic therapy using effective drug without side effects. The clinical case of aggravation of acute psychosis and Stevens-Johnson syndrome against the background of irrational pharmacotherapy in a teenage girl with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy is discussed.
