On the background of objectively poor state of dental health of population, approximately half (52 %) of people appreciate it inadequately, and inadequately consider the social consequences of its violation. Application of the Oral Health Impact Profile-14 method allows to improve the adequacy and objectivity of self-assessment of dental health, because it actively draws additional attention and opens a wide range of the associated spheres of life. This method is appropriate to apply during dental examination of patients, and during the process of health education with different populations.

Abstract

The problem of teeth root resorption is poorly understood in modern stomatology. Wide polymorphism of demineralization of tooth tissues and not fully clarified etiology of these processes often lead to an unreasonable choice of treatment, which in turn can lead to tooth loss. This article describes the definition, etiology and classification of root resorption, and presents the case report.
