Abstract

The article presents the most important etiological factors for the development of preterm labor, as well as methods of therapy and prevention. To date, some success were achieved in the treatment and prevention of threatening preterm labor through the use of drugs that suppress the contractile activity of the uterus, which include magnesium-containing preparations.
