Аннотация

Medicines from the leaves and seeds of Plantago major have antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antiulcer, spasmolytic, and hemostatic effect, laxative and mild hypotensive action. The article discusses the possibility of plantain drugs administration in subacid gastritis, chronic colitis, hemorrhoids, bronchitis, asthma and other respiratory diseases, cystitis and other diseases of the urinary bladder. Application of plantain leaves as hemostatic and vulnerary agent is possible.
