PERIOTESTOMETRIYa V OTsENKE EFFEKTIVNOSTI IMMOBILIZATsII ZUBOV PRI PARODONTITE

The question of evaluating the effectiveness of different types of splinting in parodontitis using periotestometry remains unresolved because there are still few available studies. The results of evaluation of the effectiveness of splinting of front group of teeth using fiberglass tape «GlasSpan» in 60 -year-old patient with severe parodontitis and traumatic fracture of the root of the tooth using periotestom-ety are presented. The instrument «Periotest S», allowing to estimate the elastic properties of the periodontum, is described; operating principle of this instrument is discussed. Periotestometry is a valuable method for the assessment of periodontal state. Fiberglass tire «GlasSpan» is not physiological, because it prevents micromotion of teeth and leads to rapid destruction of the periodontal support structures, which are responsible for stabilization of the teeth in the appliance.
